Ingredients

10 ingredients. Never more.
Our ingredient list is short, clean, vegan and cruelty-free. You also won’t find any palm-oil in our lippies.

ORGANIC Castor Oil
Pressed from the seeds of the ricinus communis plant, castor oil soothes inflammation and adds luster & moisture.

ORGANIC Avocado Oil
This lush, green-hued oil is as good for skin as it is for nutrition, accelerating healing, stimulating collagen production, and reducing inflammation when used topically.

ORGANIC Grapeseed Oil
Made from the antioxidant-rich seeds of wine grapes, grapeseed oil is a mega multi-tasker, delivering heavy-hitting polyphenols, resveratrol, beta-carotene, linoleic acid, and vitamins D, C, and E for serious skin benefits, including: calming redness and fighting free radical damage from UV rays and pollution.

ORGANIC Orange Oil
Cold-pressed organic orange oil is what gives our lipsticks and crayons their sweet orange scent. This oil reduces symptoms of stress, is antimicrobial and stimulates blood flow, collagen production, and the absorption of vitamin C — all essential for healthy, glowing skin.

ORGANIC Neem Oil
Organic neem oil, from the seed of the tropical neem tree, is what keeps our lippies “so fresh and so clean, clean.”. Prized for antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, neem oil heals and protect skin while also functioning as a natural preservative for our products.

Elderberry Extract
Elderberries boast higher flavonoid content than blueberries, cranberries, blackberries and goji berries, making the plant a potent source of antioxidants. Elderberry extract improves the condition and appearance of skin by fighting free radicals, moisturizing, and calming irritation and inflammation.

Vitamin E Oil
Vitamin E is not one vitamin but a group of fat-soluble molecules with antioxidant effects. Topical application of vitamin E boosts the skin’s natural function, protects against UV damage, and promotes healing. It also helps to extend the shelflife of lipstick by slowing oxidation of other oils.

Candelilla Wax
Extracted from the waxy stems of the small shrub native to northern Mexico and the southwestern United States, Candelilla Wax is a vegan alternative to beeswax. Candelilla wax softens and creates a protective barrier over skin to keep moisture in, while giving our formulas sturdy-but-flexible structure.

Plum Seed Oil
Cold-pressed from the kernels of French Ente plums, our virgin plum seed oil is simultaneously a super rich oil dense with polyunsaturated fats such as oleic acid, which help moisturize skin, while also being a “dry,” fast-absorbing, non-greasy oil. Bonus point: It smells great!

Sunflower Seed Wax
Sunflower seed wax has a creamy, glossy texture, and is excellent thickener and hardener, making it a great ingredient to create pliable firmness in lipsticks. Sunflower seed wax is made through “winterizing” sunflower seed oil, which is a process by which lipids and other oil compounds are separated out from the oil to leave long-chain saturated wax esters (wax).

ORGANIC Sunflower Seed Oil
Rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E, organic sunflower seed oil supports the skin barrier function by reducing transdermal water loss and providing deep moisturization. Sunflower seed oil is preferred for acne-prone skin due to its high content of linoleic acid and less viscous body.

ORGANIC Hemp Seed Oil
Not to be confused with CBD oil, hemp seed oil is made from pressing the seeds (as opposed to leaves, stalks, and flowers for CBD) of the Cannabis sativa plant. Instead, it consists mostly of fatty acids that work overtime to draw in moisture, reduce inflammation and boost elasticity.

ORGANIC Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a protector; it sits on top of the skin (“occlusive”) like nature’s version of Vaseline, locking in moisture, offering modest protection from UV radiation (disclaimer: not advising use in place of sunblock!), and improving skin’s barrier function. The high content of lauric acid may also provide antimicrobial properties.

Moringa Oil
Our Moringa oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the Moringa oleifera, a small tree of the Himalayan mountains known as “the miracle tree.” Chock-full of oleic acid, moringa oil deeply moisturizes while providing potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits from compounds like tocopherols, catechins, quercetin, ferulic acid, and zeatin.

Kokum Butter
You’ve heard of Cocoa and Shea butters, but what about Kokum? Kokum butter comes from the seeds of the Indian Garcinia indica tree, and is responsible for our lippies’ superior spreadability. Thanks to stearic acid, kokum butter has the magical property of being decidedly solid at room temperature but melting on skin contact.

Soy Butter
Soy butter easily penetrates the skin to re-moisturize and heal skin. It repairs damaged, chafed, and dry skin, and also improves the skin's essential lipid barrier. Spreadable, easily absorbed, plentiful, and long-lasting, soy butter is one of our favorite moisturizers.
